About Functional Furniture Ltd

My name is Anthony Smith. I served my apprenticeship at Barrett and Boltons Ltd, furniture manufacturers in the east end of London and also attended the London College of Furniture, qualifying with City and Guilds in 1980.

I have worked for various London restorers over the years, working on both antique and modern furniture and I continue to upholster for a restorers based in South Kensington, London, on a regular basis.

I started my own business in 1998 and moved to the Forest of Dean in 2000. I now have a workshop at Hurst Farm, Lydney, from where I upholster all types of furniture.
